“Waiting Room” Evy Frearsons debut EP. A pool of 5 tracks that all blend on the themes of feeling stuck, difficult choices and inevitably moving on from it all. Whilst it’s a grungier and more rock driven EP, “Waiting Room” doesn’t forget to showcase Evys ethereal vocals, jangley guitars and emotive storytelling.
Inspired by bands such as Wunderhorse, Nirvana and Jeff Buckley, The EP was recorded over mid 2024 to early 2025. Evy recorded the majority of the EP alongside her band and friends and felt the joy of it being a more collaborative experience.
” it’s really drawn from all of the waiting rooms I’ve been in, and how life does sometimes just feel like one big waiting room. Waiting for that phone call, for that opportunity, for that person to change, for a period in your life to move on. There’s many moments that you’re left waiting and it’s completely out of your hands. It’s about that frustration and eagerness for change, but the pursuit of that is at the core of the EP.
